WELCOME

Lydia Rodney
Dr Lydia Rodney
Clinical Psychologist and EMDR Therapist

We often feel as if life should be easier than this. As if we could cope if we did not have quite so much on our plates. High expectations of ourselves mean we do keep coping, keep going, that we have to. Whilst on the outside everything looks fine, on the inside this can feel isolating and hopeless. Seeking support can seem daunting, but it is your first step to coping, a sign of courage.  Therapy can help you to focus on what you can change, and to change your perspective on your struggles, develop your ability to cope with what life throws at you and most importantly to improve your well-being. You do not need to be suffering from a clinical condition to benefit from therapeutic support. We are all on the spectrum of human behaviour, and learning how to understand yours and focus on what can be helpful can have profoundly positive impacts.  I offer face-to-face and virtual sessions to help you to find your strength, reconnect with your values and feel heard in your struggles. I offer EMDR, ACT, CBT, Mindfulness based cognitive therapy and compassion focussed approaches.

“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning how to dance in the rain.”
